Terms of Service

The service

garnished turns real photos of dishes you actually serve into styled, menu-ready images. When you upload a photo, the food itself is not fabricated: the service restyles the lighting, background and presentation of what you photographed. Where an imported dish has no real photo — only a placeholder graphic — the studio can instead generate an illustrative image from the dish's name and description; you are responsible for checking that any such image fairly represents what you serve before you use it.

Your account

Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, WorkOS. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for the accuracy of your account information, and for what happens in your workspace, including your team members' activity.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload and the images generated for you. You grant garnished a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you.

You must hold the rights to any photo you upload. Do not upload content that belongs to someone else without permission.

Generated images

You may use your generated images for your business — menus, delivery platforms, social media, and advertising.

You are responsible for how you present them to customers: images must fairly represent the dishes you actually serve, and any consumer-protection rules on menu imagery in your market apply to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use garnished for unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content; do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; and do not resell access to it. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

Credits and billing

garnished uses a credit model. A standard generated image costs one credit. Some tools cost more: a video render costs 10 credits (15 with an AI voice-over), drafting a seasonal menu costs 3 and building a menu with AI costs 5, while a menu import costs one credit per page, and a menu translation, a PDF menu export and each offer asset cost one credit.

During early access, use of the service is free within the allowances shown in the studio. Paid plans will be announced before commercial launch and will apply only when you subscribe to one. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; prices may be subject to applicable taxes.

Early access and availability

The service is provided "as is" while in early access. Features may change, be paused, or be removed as we develop the product, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, garnished disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using garnished and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content licences already exercised, liability limits, and governing law — survive it. A workspace on a paid plan must have its subscription cancelled before it can be deleted; cancelling lets the plan run to the end of the period you have paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which garnished's operating entity is established. That entity and venue will be identified on this page together with final pricing before commercial launch.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email; continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
